Still, it is worth watching to see what The Eminence in Shadow pulls out of its bag next.Darker than Black: Gemini of the Meteor is a Japanese anime series directed and written by Tensai Okamura and produced by Bones. Due to this structure, the show might run hot and cold with some viewers, particularly if the humor does not click. The anime seems to switch genres and tone at a moment's notice for example, the pilot is basically an action-thriller, while the third episode ventures into rom-com territory. In order to keep up this ruse, Cid pretends to be an average nobody in public. As this society does not have hidden organizations, Cid opts to conjure them out of thin air, creating a secret heroic team designed to combat a shady cult. After meeting Truck-kun, Cid awakens in a fantasy world that allows him to pursue his dream: to be the mastermind pulling the strings from the shadows. The Eminence in Shadow was the best new isekai anime of Fall 2022, although it might have also been the most polarizing. At this point, it is impossible to say whether any of these series will ultimately sit alongside the genre's greatest, but there are a couple of exciting prospects. The isekai genre focuses on characters that are transported to other worlds and must find a way to survive while usually completing some kind of mission or quest.
